This talk, which will be held in The Gateway building at the entrance to the Highland Wildlife Park, will be given by Jamie Seddon, the Saving Wildcats in-situ Conservation Project Officer at the Highland WIldlife Park.
Following a third year of wildcat releases into the wild, Jamie wiil explain the process of preparing those wildcats for release and how the Saving WIldcats partnership monitor the released wildcat population. From preparing the wildcats in the off-show conservation-breeding-for-release centre, to consulting stakeholders within the local community, the talk will provide further context to the importance of planning and transparency when conducting a community-based conservation project.
