Swallowtails include the most spectacular butterflies in the world, but expert assessments since 1985 have found that dozens of species are threatened. How much has been done to protect them in this time? Where are the threats coming from, how are they being addressed and what can we learn from the experience?

This online conference takes a practical look at situations in the field, using the work of enthusiasts, scientists and communities from across the world, often operating in challenging conditions. Join in, listen, watch and contribute as the practical aspects of saving swallowtails, birdwings and their allies are revealed.

This unique conference will, in the space of just 3 hours, offer seven case studies in each of two time zones, followed by a live panel session of experts ready to address your questions. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!

Conservationists are working on swallowtails and birdwings from Fiji, Australia and Papua New Guinea in the eastern hemisphere to Jamaica, Brazil and Florida in the west. To capture as much experience as possible each time-zone will have its own talks, all of which will be recorded. So, whether you are in Canberra, Chennai or California, you can take part flexibly without missing a thing.
