Event description
SYFN’s ‘Directions’ Masterclasses Return! And this time, they're saving the planet.

About this Event

The world is burning.

As filmmakers we can do something about it. We can help to create a more sustainable and responsible industry and genuinely contribute to making a more sustainable society.

A founder members of the Albert Higher Education Partnership, filmmaker and Sheffield Hallam University lecturer Christopher Hall will introduce the BBC BAFTA Albert initiative and how it can be adopted by Sheffield based filmmakers, the science of global warming and the U.N.s Goals for Sustainable Development. Using industry case studies he will outline how filmmakers can begin to reduce the carbon footprint of the industry and begin to positively impact society.

We will follow the event with a chance to do some networking and light food and drink.
