Event description

Description

Come hear Asha talk about her eureka moment involving an aggregation of blue whales and a floating pile of whale poop. Follow her research journey and learn more about her efforts to stop blue whales from getting hit and killed by ships off the coast of Sri Lanka.

Asha is the founder of Sri Lanka’s first marine conservation research and education organisation, Oceanswell, which works to change the trajectory of the world’s oceans by empowering and inspiring people to be custodians of the oceans. Asha studied for her BSc in Marine and Environmental Biology at the University of St Andrews, her MSc in Integrative Biosciences at the University of Oxford and her PhD from the University of Western Australia.

Come and join us for the hour-long seminar, with time for questions at the end!
