What is the Social Impact Speaker series all about?

In Autumn 2024, The Melting Pot is excited to launch our first event series showcasing the social innovation and impact achieved by our growing network of Good Ideas alumni and members of our thriving ecosystem.

Who is this event for?

If you’re in need of inspiration to start your own project or want to hear the founding stories of others, you’ll gain a lot from joining our network and attending this event.

You might also be looking to support and meet dynamic innovators and tackle social and environmental problems.

What is the structure of this event?

Accepted Answer

In our signature event style, attendees can a networking start from 5.30pm to 6pm. At 6pm, speakers will share information about their projects and stimulate facilitated discussion among attendees, who are guaranteed to leave with at least three new connections! If you don’t - ask a host!

The Melting Pot is Scotland’s Centre for Social Innovation. An inspiring community of people striving to make the world a better place. Through coworking, collaboration and learning, we develop our members, support their businesses and amplify their social impact.

What is The Melting Pot approach to events?

Our events all centre around purposeful networking and creating impact. We work in partnership across sectors to create an inclusive space for meaningful connection, enlightening conversations and sparking action in our communities to create positive social impact for people and the planet.

What if I can't afford a ticket?

If the price would prohibit you attending, please contact us confidentially at sam@themeltingpotedinburgh.org.uk to access a paid forward ticket to the social impact series.   Equally, if you are able to pay forward for your ticket, please do so via Eventbrite or by contacting Sam.

Why is the event £8?

Accepted Answer

With your ticket fee we can cover our costs and reinvest a percentage of event profits back into fostering social innovation and impact in Scotland. Your ticket price, as well as any coworking membership or venue hire request, enables us to do that.
