About this event

The Saxophone Orchetsra Leeds will be meeting for thier second Ensemble Weekend on 20th - 21st September 2025. The group will be led through an exicting array of pieces before putting on a FREE concert at Ossett Town Hall at 5pm on Sunday 21st September to mark the endof the course.

The concert has unreserved seating, so please do arrive early if you have a big group. We will do our best to provide seating for all, but some ticket holders may have to stand.

The concert will have no interval and there will be a retiring collection for charity.

The Saxophone Orchestra UK was founded in October 2021 under the name "Saxophone Orchestra Manchester" by professional saxophonist and music educator, Saira Clegg. The ensemble is a specialist orchestra with the main goal of providing valuable ensemble experience to adult learners of the saxophone.

The Saxophone Orchestra started as a biannual, intensive weekend course. It soon became apparent that there was a greater need for ensemble playing and so SOMonthly was founded as a monthly group in June 2022 followed by a Training Band in 2023. In 2025 a new member of the Saxophone Orchestra UK family will be born, the Saxophone Orchestra Leeds.
