A day of activities for children with special educational needs and disabilities and their siblings.
About this event
A day of activities for children with special educational needs and disabilities and their siblings. The days run from 10:00-14:00 and are tailored to suit a wide range of needs. Participants will be able to choose from a wide range of activities ranging from adventure (bouldering, archery, ropes courses) to craft (clay models, hazel frames) and exploration activities (shelter building, pond dipping, orienteering) and so much more. You will be able to request activities at the checkout and we will do our best to accomodate them but please note it may not always be possible.
All ages from 8-15 are welcome (6-7 year olds are also welcome provided an adult accompanies them).Groups will be a maximum of 10 children.
We welcome the participation of all SEND children, and provide a high ratio of staff to participants. However, if your child has needs relating to personal care, such as feeding or toileting, we ask that a parent or carer accompany them on the day for their comfort, since we are unable to offer 1:1 support. The day will be as flexible as possible to try and cater for all needs and interests; however it is useful for us to have as much information as possible beforehand in order to plan successfully.
