Saturday, 7th November: 10:45 am - 12:15 pm
Open to Black writers and writers of colour based in Scotland (or who ordinarily would be outside of COVID-19)
Learn how to DIY your author website. In this workshop, Nailah will show you how to make an author website to establish your online presence, grow a following of devoted readers, promote your work, and boost your paid opportunities.
We’ll cover different website building platforms and tools and how to build the key pages of your website. Nailah will also touch upon any other relevant content you may want to consider adding to your website. You'll be able to follow along during the work with a workbook that’s designed to help writers map out and shape their website.
Participants will walk away from this workshop with the building blocks to confidently build a simple but effective website that promotes you and your work.
Bonus: We will brainstorm promotional ideas you can use for your website!
