From blurred growth vision to clear sales strategy!

A three-afternoon course led by world-class experts through which participants will gain practical knowledge and skills on commercialisation strategies, sales, marketing and fundraising to take their business to the next level.

One of the main barriers for business growth is the ability of transforming leads into actual sales. Efforts are often targeted in developing a marketing strategy but often ineffective in closing the generated leads.

This training event is focusing on how to align sales with marketing and to how close more leads, generating greater revenue as a result.

By combining class-room training with incorporated coaching, gamification and homework exercises this training will help you overcome these challenges and re-think your commercialisation, sales, marketing and fundraising strategies.

Based on content from sales academies from top companies such as CISCO and IBM, the programme will also provide participants with cutting-edge pitching techniques and the opportunity to practice in front of potential investors and experts in the smart cities sector.

  • Block 3. Building Effective Sales Process From Marketing to Sales – Sales Theorem, Methodology, Sales Cycle
  • Block 4. Expanding your enterprise Effective techniques covering hiring, expansion strategy, fund raising and sales effectiveness to help you focusing where you need it

11 May, 3.30pm-7.30pm

  • Block 5. Effective Presentations and Pitching to Executives Incorporates techniques of pitching to different types of organisations: Public/Government, Commercial Buyers, non-for-profit, investors
  • Block 6. Pitch Presentation in front of the stakeholders

On the last day we will orgnaise 4- min presentation by each company in front of the panel of experts, investors, Future Cities Catapult senior management and Capital Enterprise CEO, following by question time.

Presenters and Experts

Luba Reynolds

Managing Director, Sales Expand

Throughout her 20 years’ career in tech and consulting, Luba has developed, implemented and sold enterprise solutions across the UK, Europe and US. She has work with FTSE100 clients within large companies including IBM and Ericsson as well as innovative start-up in AI, Analytics and IoT. She has lead Sales Enablement team for IBM Analytics in Europe and now focusing on providing sales and growth support for innovative start-ups. Her practical and innovative Sales Growth programmes supported rapid double-digit growth for IBM and SaaS and IoT start-ups. The recent IoT Scale up (IQP) she supported in 2017 had successful exit and was sold to GE Corporation and the end of last year.

Martin Johnson

Business Developer and Angel Investor

Martin spent several years in building technical and communication start-ups in the UK, France and APAC as well as 12 years at Cisco, joining as a founder member of Global Business Development in Technical Services where he increased revenues by providing Consultative Selling Support to Sales Teams, helping them shape deals. He is currently a board member of Sofia Business Angels and European Business Angels Network (EBAN). Martin is an active investor, supporting Smart Transport Start-up, leading their European fund-raising. He is helping Swiss AI startup go to market with its Automated Content Hub platform. Martin is also a founder member of the Sales Enablement Society.

John Spindler

John is a well-known growth expert and top investor with multiple years and expertise under his belt, supporting and investing in tech enterprises. He is currently leading £250 million co-investment fund with the key focus on Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Gemma Guilera

After successful career as a scientist, Dr. Guilera is developing activities and programmes that help start-ups and scale-ups working in advance urban services accelerate the pace at which they develop by facilitating the necessary support at any stage of their journey. She leads an important function of Future Cities Catapult, a government support organisation with the mission to advance urban innovation, to grow UK smart tech and smart cities companies, to make cities better.
