The ScaleUp Institute will be celebrating the high-impact efforts of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in the UK in November. In order to do that, we are calling upon YOU to nominate organisations that are going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that Britain is the BEST place to grow a business in the World.
We are not looking for a list of scaleup companies, but a list of organisations that are making it easier for those who are scaling up their businesses to thrive.
In Nov 2014, we published 29 case studies - and in 2016, we are commencing the work of reviewing these case studies and assessing others in order to publish a new set of leading examples in the second half of the year. These case studies will be assessed by the Evidence Committee of the ScaleUp Institute which is made up of leading academics across the UK and Internationally. We plan to celebrate these case studies in November.
We are seeking nominations from you all in six categories:
- Skills & Talent
- Leadership Capacity Building
- Access to Markets
- Access to Finance
The process for applying to be considered or for nominating is as follows:
- Please submit your nominations by end of day 6th of June 2016. Referrals can be made by investors, companies themselves or third parties.
- Once nominated the ScaleUp Institute team will contact the nominee to collate the relevant information from them. This will include questions surrounding; reach, coordination, impact to scaleup businesses (as regards growth, expansion, employees and revenue), engagement with the private and public sector
- It is intended that all applicants will be notified of the status of their case-studies by the end of September.
Whilst the application is simple, we strongly recommend that you give some thought to the nomination process - it will be important for any nominee to show that they have been operating for at least two years and have meaningful impact that is transparent, that has been publicly reported and in some way independently assessed. This will be used as a basis for reviewing each nomination.
In addtion, we do wish to track new scale up initiatives that have been formed in 2016 that we can then monitor for future potential publication as a case study. Please feel free to include recent initiatives but recognise these will not be included as formal case studies in the 2016 publication. Rather they will form part of our tracking and monitoring process for potential inclusion in 2017 case study release.
Where possible register nominees in the category that you feel is most appropriate. We reserve the right to move nominations into other catergories.

Good luck. Look forward to hearing from you,
