As part of NYC Climate Week, the program showcases progress and challenges in advancing decarbonization and regenerative design.
Event Summary:
This panel event of industry experts will explore progress made in decarbonising new and existing buildings exploring successes as well as challenges from both a practitioner and policy perspective. Reducing emissions alone is not enough and the panel will examine how climate solutions must also restore and protect ecosystems and redress structural inequities introducing the concept of regenerative design.
Drawing on lessons from across North America and Europe the panel will discuss how to not only speed up the transition to low-carbon buildings, but also embed equity, biodiversity, into a unified approach—supporting the growing movement for planetary regeneration. Together, we’ll examine how to move from sustainability to regeneration, and how our buildings and neighbourhoods can become engines of healing—for people and planet alike.
Join us as Grimshaw’s Dr Paul Toyne will share an update on the award-winning Minoro as well as lead an interactive discussion with industry leaders, including Vincent Martinez CEO of Architecture 2030, Shanta Tucker of Atelier Ten and Bill Horgan of Grimshaw
