Scaling History in the Nineteenth Century

Dr Helen Kingstone (Surrey), 'Overview through immersion? Panoramic perspectives on Crimea from Roger Fenton to Mary Seacole'

Professor Clare Pettitt (KCL), 'Mary Barton: the Inter-National Novel?'

We are delighted to be joined by Dr Helen Kingstone and Professor Clare Pettitt for a seminar focused on nineteenth-century approaches to understanding the relationship between current events and history. Kingstone and Pettitt will share some of their latest research, followed by an audience Q&A. At the end of the seminar we will keep the zoom room open to allow participants and attendees to catch up informally.
