Event description

Description

As the studies suggest, innovation today is increasingly led by startups, with corporates being actively involved in strengthening their business cases and networks. As a part of Border Sessions festival, on 28 June we are hosting a session where a special guest Siddharth Bannerjee, Startup and New Technology Analyst at Nesta (the UK’s Innovation Foundation), and co-author of Scaling Together, a report on improving startup-corporate collaboration, will shed the light on how corporates and startups can make the most out of their collaboration.

Corporate-startup collaboration is rapidly increasing, with more large firms seeing this as a mechanism for accessing innovation and/or promoting internal cultural change. Such collaboration can bring numerous benefits to both partners, but there remain significant hurdles which can make these relationships difficult to initiate, manage and bring to fruition, - says Sidd.

Following Siddharth's presentation, the graduates of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam Vivian Reichgelt and Carlo Bellmann will share the findings of their research on Corporate-Startup Collaboration and make us familiar with academic background of the subject.

Two presentations will be followed by the Business Case by KPN, The Netherlands’ leading telecom & ICT service provider. The company is actively involved in developing new solutions and enabling startups with access to KPN’s extensive expertise in connectivity, security and related technologies.
