SCAMS Awareness Training Session

This session highlights the growing threat of scams and fraud, covering common types such as phishing emails, vishing calls, ransomware, impersonation, romance, and financial scams. Participants will learn about the psychological tactics scammers use and how to spot red flags such as poor grammar, unfamiliar senders, and unexpected requests.

The session provides practical measures including strong password practices, multi-factor authentication, verifying requests, and safe browsing habits. Guidance will also be given on reporting suspicious activity, recovery steps if targeted, and where to find support. Current local scam trends, as identified by Trading Standards and law enforcement, will also be shared to keep participants up to date and alert.
