How old do I need to be to come to Scare Asylum?

All visitors must be 14 years and over to attend Scare Asylum. Children under 14 years will not gain entry to the event, (even if accompanied by a responsible adult) ID required on entry for all those lucky enough to look under 21 years.

Are there Group Bookings?

When will my tickets be sent to me?

All tickets are sold online and in advance only. Tickets will be sent at the time of booking via the email provided.

Is alcohol sold on site?

Yes. The Graveyard Inn serves a choice of alcoholic drinks in the venue. “bag searches” will be made on entry. Alcohol found on a visitor’s person will be confiscated for the duration of your visit. Do you have toilets available?

Yes. There are both toilets and disabled toilets.

What is acceptable proof of ID?

Proof of I.D. must be photographic i.e. Passport, college pass, driving licence. Bringing a photocopy will be sufficient providing it is clear. Will the scare actors touch us?

The actors will not touch you. We have a no touch policy, however if you don’t behave while going through the scare maze…then they will tear off your arm or leg, whichever is closer, then you will be asked to leave the event.

When does Scare Asylum close?

Scare Asylum is open until 11pm (Scare Attraction queues close at 10.30pm) – Stay all night if you can take the fright!

I hate waiting in lines when is the best arrival time to avoid a long line?

Our busiest nights are always on Friday and Saturday. The closer to Halloween, the busier we are. To ease the queue times we run multiple intakes. Please make a note of your intake time. The best advice is to arrive early so you are ready for your intake.

What are fast track tickets?

Scare Asylum fast track tickets allow you to avoid queues, give you access to the scare maze and VR.

What time is the last entry at Scare Asylum?

Last entry 10:30pm. Scare Asylum is open until 11pm (Scare maze and VR queues close at 10.30pm) – Stay all night if you can take the fright!

May I take photographs and film inside your scare maze?

Photography or filming is not allowed inside of the Scare Asylum scare maze or VR.

Is the waiting area indoors or outdoors?

Indoors & outdoors. 95% of the event is indoors. Please be prepared for bad and/or cold weather conditions. We recommend bringing waterproof clothing. You enter the building via a short outside scare. On average your experience outside will be approx 5 minutes.

What restrictions do you have on age?

Is the event suitable for pregnant ladies?

We do not recommend the event for pregnant ladies.

Is this event wheelchair accessible?

Because of the narrow passageways and the scare maze being on an upper floor it is not suitable for people who use wheelchairs, frames or crutches, however the food & bar area and VR arena welcomes everyone to come and enjoy the fun (Concessions apply).

What type of footwear is most suitable?

We strongly advise not wearing high heels due to uneven surfaces. A pair of flat comfortable shoes will be just fine…you may wish to wear “trainers” (sneakers) so you can run for your lives…we do not recommend running as your safety is paramount.

How long does the experience last?

Allow 1 hour for the maze & VR, 2 hours including food & bar.. If you have a fast track tickets your time experiencing the scare maze and VR will be approximately 30 minutes, however there is a whole night of entertainment on offer at Scare Asylum.

Can food be brought into the event?

Food is not allowed to be brought into the event, but there are, however, food concessions on site.
