Schizophrenia Awareness
Overview
This half-day session is delivered live by our expert trainer in an interactive virtual environment, meaning there are no hidden travel costs and fits easier into busy schedules. Sessions are designed so that participants can interact with the trainer and other learners to quickly gain actionable skills, knowledge and behaviours, helping them implement these swiftly.
Delegates will gain an understanding of schizophrenia and its causes. They will develop an appreciation of what schizophrenia feels like and the symptoms that may be experienced. Delegates will gain an understanding of the ways in which schizophrenia can be managed and treated and will also gain an understanding of the roles and needs of others, especially in social care. Key terminology will be explored in order to better understand schizophrenia and address common misconceptions.

* Define the term “Schizophrenia”
* Identify the causes and signs of Schizophrenia
* Recognise how schizophrenia affects the individual, their life and their friends and family
* Explain how schizophrenia may be managed and know some of the resources available to support the individual experiencing it.
