The School of Art Monday Lectures is a public series of talks by leading national and international artists and thinkers. The School of Art’s practice-led research embodies and critically reflects upon new registers of contemporary art, whilst rearticulating processes and practices associated with established artistic media.
In this special event, Turner Prize-winning artist Lubaina Himid CBE RA reflects on her celebrated practice and the role of visual art as a distinct form of storytelling, one that uncovers hidden historical narratives and sparks dialogue with audiences. She will share how her approach to making art continues to evolve and how she uses it to open up new ways of seeing and thinking about the world around us.
