About this event
Book your slot and secure your place for you and your students for the 2025 Christmas Tree Fetival!
We have a selection of half hour slots for you to book, as an arrival time. These slots are free of charge but please include the (rough) number of pupils who will be coming along when 'ordering' your tickets. This way we can manage access to the Cloister so that you can experience the Christmas Tree Festival at its best!
Access to the Trees is through the North Porch Main Entrance, where our helpful team will point you in the right direction. Please note, the slype entrance is now permanently closed for visitors and you will not be able to enter/exit the Cathedral this way.
Please note that these reservation slots are during public opening hours, and you will not have exclusive access to the Cathedral or Trees. There may be other schools and members of the public in at the same time as you.
You are welcome to explore the Cathedral at your own pace after your visit. December is a very busy month for us, and there will likely be rehearsals going on every day in the Nave, though this should not impede any visit.
Whilst we do not charge for entry to the Cathedral or for our Christmas Tree Festival, donations are always welcome.
If you have any questions, please consult our FAQ, or email schools@worcestercathedral.org.uk.
Frequently asked questions

There is a coach drop-off/pick-up bay on King Street, just to the South of the Cathedral.
The Cathedral and Trees are accessible - there is a ramp to the Cloister from the Nave. The majority of the Cathedral is accessible, apart from the Crypt. There is no on-site parking available.
No, the times advertised here are during our public opening hours, and therefore you may be with other schools (both primary and secondary) as well as members of the public. As it's December, there may well be a rehearsal or other event going on in the Nave whilst you are in.
No, so long as it's a rough number this is all that matters. Don't worry if you book 28 tickets, and bring 30. However if numbers change significantly then please do get in touch - schools@worcestercathedral.org.uk
Yes, you will be welcome to explore our beautiful Cathedral with your students. Please note that December is a very busy time for us, and it is likely that there will be something going on elsewhere in the building, such as a Carol service rehearsal, Nativity rehearsal, or concert rehearsal.
If you can no longer come please email schools@worcestercathedral.org.uk and we will cancel the booking details.
There are 100 tickets available for each half-hour slot. This will ensure you have the space to really enjoy the Festival, as well as allowing public access.
Our public bathrooms will be available as usual. When we can, we will also open up our schools' bathrooms, also located off the Cloister, though we cannot guarantee they will be open. This will be on a day-by-day decision.
Yes, we'd love to have you! please email schools@worcestercathedral.org.uk and we can discuss additional workshops, tours, and options.
A donation would be gratefully received. We recommend a school's donation of £3.50pp. You can make a donation at the Welcome Desk.
