Overview

For Secondary School Science Technicians

This interactive course will look at the key parts of the preparation of microbiology resources for KS3, KS4 and KS5 practical lessons. We will look at some of the key health and safety aspects including aseptic techniques, storage, incubation, sterilization and equipment. The course will include a range of demonstrations of aseptic techniques and equipment and will also explore a range of practicals that can make microbiology more engaging in your schools.

This course is facilitated by Simon Quinnell, Curriculum Area Lead Science PGCE at University of York and a leading expert on school science technicians and science technical services.
