Join ISEP North Scotland for an Engaging Webinar on Sustainability Reporting and Disclosure Assurance.

This insightful and practical session will explore general sustainability reporting and disclosure obligations from a compliance, quality, and assurance perspective. It will also consider the increasing demand for sustainability data — what is being reported, why it's in demand, and who is using it.

Drawing on their extensive experience, the presenters will:

• Explore reporting and assurance requirements
• Review verification requirements
• Share challenges and real-world experiences from reporting organizations
• Examine leading assurance schemes including ISSA 5000, ISAE 3000, AA1000, and ISO 14064

The session will also include a focused discussion on AA1000AS, covering its areas of commonality with other assurance schemes and how it can be applied to verify greenhouse gas (GHG) reports and disclosures.

Speakers

Ian Thomas Senior Principal Consultant, Vysus Group.

Bio:

Ian brings 30 years of experience as an environmental risk management and regulatory compliance consultant, including 25 years as an assurance provider and assessor with Lloyd’s Register, LRQA, and more recently as a licensed assurance provider with AccountAbility. His sector focus includes upstream and downstream oil and gas, energy transition (renewables, hydrogen, CCUS, LNG), decommissioning, and related industries.

Presentation Focus:Ian Thomas will host and provide outline, general context for the webinar. Ian will also talk about the application of the AA1000 Assurance standard for verification of green house gas emissions.

Paul Condy, Sustainability Business Partner, Bakkafrost Scotland.

Presentation Focus: Paul will provide an overview of the sustainability reporting process from the perspective of a reporting organization, highlighting real-world experience and practical challenges.

Michael Rea, Managing Partner, Integrated Reporting and Assurance Services (IRAS), South Africa.

Presentation Focus: Michael will introduce the AA1000 family of standards and principles, explaining their relevance and applicability to sustainability reporting and assurance. He will also discuss assurance mechanisms such as ISAE 3000, AA1000, and ISO 14064, their common elements, and the use of the AA1000AS suite of standards in sustainability assurance.
