Join Beryl, the UK's leading Micromobility provider at an in-depth road training session and learn how to safely ride an eScooter.
About this event
Beryl is the UK's leading micromobility provider with a proud heritage in safety. Join us on our Scoot Happy Tour and learn to become a responsible road user. Learn the scooter basics at a tryout session, or gain in-depth road knowledge at a Skills Session from a qualified Bikeability instructor, the first of its kind in the UK.
Skills Sessions: This training is an extension of our tryout sessions aimed at providing users with in-depth road craft skills. Led by qualified Bikeability instructors (the Department for Transport’s national cycle training provider) participants will undertake a two-hour session on local roads and cycle paths and learn how to use scooters on roads and in cycle lanes safely.
Beryl has made the training accessible for everyone regardless of driving experience, you will leave feeling confident of how to operate a Beryl scooter safely.
Duration: Two hours including on-road training.
What do I get: Each participant who successfully completes the two-hour session will receive 400 free minutes to use on Beryl. Even better still, we have teamed up with UK-based sustainable helmet manufacturer Dashel who is offering an exclusive 30% discount for a Dashel Urban helmet.
Location: The Beryl Bay adjacent to the pavilion in Poole Park, Sandbanks Road, Poole, BH15 2RY or robots.sports.much at W3W.
Terms & Conditions: A refundable £10 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place to guarantee no-shows. You will be refunded up to seven days after attending, minus Eventbrite taxes and fees (3.5% + £0.49). You are able to notify Beryl up to the day before the event if you are unable to attend. Your deposit will not be returned if you either cancel on the day of the event or fail to show up to the event. Please note that Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable. In order to hire a Beryl eScooter, you must be 16 or over and have a provisional or full driving license verified in our app. You will be unable to participate in the session if you do not meet these criteria. Please arrive at the session with our app downloaded, account created, payment method added, and license verified to ensure a prompt start. Helmets are not a legal requirement, however, a Dashel helmet will be available for you to wear at the event should you choose. All participants will be charged a non-refundable fee of £1.50 when unlocking the eScooter at the session, which is our standard unlock fee. By hiring and unlocking a Beryl eScooter you agree to our terms of service and all users are covered by our PLI.
