Join us on Wednesday the 23rd of July for the next Scotland Audio Network Q+A.
We're delighted to announce our next Q+A guest is Erin Anderson, a writer, audio producer, and multimedia artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Erin is the co-creator and producer of Cement City, a ten-episode documentary podcast series from Audacy Originals, named one of The New York Times 10 best podcasts of 2024.
"Cement City follows writer Jeanne Marie and her friend Erin as they stumble off the highway into a dying town they’ve never heard of, which has a Smog Museum, a mayor named Piglet, and not a whole lot else".
Erin and her friend Jeanne Marie spent three years recording (and living) in Donora, Pennsylvania, for the project.
For the Q+A, we'll mainly be focusing on the development and production of Cement City, but Erin has also created numerous other audio works (fiction and documentary), as well as essays, multimedia works, installations and public artworks. She also teaches narrative audio production and multimedia nonfiction at the University of Pittsburgh.
