"It's the complete kit when you are embarking on that journey"
The event will take place on Monday 18th February at the B listed, Central Baptist Church in Dundee. The day will start with arrival refreshments at 10am after which we will hear from our morning speakers, Adam Swan from Dundee Historic Environment Trust and Gill Poulter from Verdant Works, who will give us an idea of the heritage projects that have been taking place in Dundee, the highs and lows, lessons learned. After a lunch break we will hear from our key speaker Megan Braithwaite, who will introduce us to the all new funding streams available from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. There will be plenty of time to put questions to our speakers throughout the day and we are pleased to trial a speed networking session in the afternoon, giving you the opportunity to personally introduce yourself to the other attendees in the room. We will follow this with a tea and cake break where you can follow up those introductions and approach anyone you missed!
National Lottery Heritage Fund (formerly Heritage Lottery Fund)
In 2018 HLF ran a nationwide consultation to find out what charitable organisations think HLF's "role, vision and priorities should be as the UK’s biggest funder of heritage during its next strategic funding framework – the period from 2019-2024." This has now come to a conclusion and the body has undergone a full assessment of their operations to make sure that they can be as effective as possible. The new funding streams will be launched on the 31st January and we are delighted that Megan will join us only a couple of weeks later to go through the details with HTN members. This is a unique opportunity for your organisation to hear from the major funder and put any key questions to them, giving you a clear understanding of the grants that will be available in the coming years for your project.
