Scotland South West Coastal 300

Have you decided where you would like to drive this September, a visit to Scotland may be something to consider, a road trip around the south-west region of Scotland. Starting on Saturday 7 September in Dumfries, this trip will follow scenic coastal roads heading west towards Stranraer, north to Ayr, and eastwards to Moffat.

A quiet corner of Scotland, the driving loop reaches the most southerly point of Scotland at the Mull of Galloway and passes through Wanlockhead in the Lowther Hills. The South West Coastal 300 route features fabulous coastlines, including two lowland peninsulas, and several traditional seaside hotspots of Ayrshire.

Inland, the route winds through delightful rolling countryside, edges atmospheric forests and crosses dramatic moorlands. Along the way, encounter wonderful secluded stretches of beach, rugged clifftops, colourful towns and villages, and postcard-perfect beauty spots like Sandyhills Bay. Delve into a world of Vikings, Saints, and Iron Age life.

For those who have never had the pleasure of one of the Club's popular Driving Adventures, we can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Good roads, food and most of all good company are all assured. Route books will be provided in written form along with Google map links (provided in advance) to enable participants to enjoy each day at their own pace.

Accommodation

7 nights accommodation in good class hotels, based on double occupancy, with facilities, parking, including breakfast and dinner is approximately £1,135 (2 adults). Single-room rates are available on request and are subject to availability.

Event Registration

To confirm your place and to help us administer numbers, please complete the registration information for the event. The event registration is for those wishing to join the tour. The Club charges £10 per person which covers the administration involved in planning and running the event which is undertaken by our willing Club volunteers.

Please be aware that places for this event are limited and, as is Club policy, secured on a first come first served basis. Once places are fulfilled, we will run a reserve list to offer places should they become available.
