About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

We’re offering people the chance to join a virtual social event with others across the UK.

The event will be a chance to chat, share experiences and potentially learn from others. Each event may have a specific topic but the overall discussion will be driven by what those attending wish to talk about and will be facilitated by a local volunteer.

What to expect?

  • Virtually meet others who are affected by Crohn's or Colitis
  • Have a chance to share experiences
  • Share top tips on how to live well with Crohn's and Colitis
  • Discuss different topics
  • Share top tips on how to support a family member, friend or colleague with Crohn's and Colitis
  • Learn more about Crohn's & Colitis UK and our Local Networks

What will I need to take part?

All you need to join in is a laptop/tablet/phone/computer with access to a microphone and camera - this will allow you the option to be seen and heard during the online sessions. You will need a stable internet connection to use the video meeting software that we use.

What if I haven’t been sent the link?

We will be sending a link to everyone that has registered via Eventbrite a few days before the event will be taking place. The email we send might go into your junk folder so please check before the meeting starts that you can find it.

Please note these events are:

  • Not intended to provide medical or professional advice
  • Only for those aged 18+
  • One off events and not intended as support groups

If you have any questions

Please contact us at networks@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk

Each event has a maximum capacity so if you can’t attend please cancel your ticket to allow others to attend.

We’re here for everyone affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. And the real number could be almost double that.  Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence.  But they are not alone.

Our 50 Local Networks operate across the UK bringing local people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis together and raising awareness of the conditions with members of the public. From educational talks to social events, we help give people the comfort and confidence to live freer and fuller lives. And together, we can make our voice heard.
