Event description
A one day celebration of the best of Community Heritage across Scotland.

About this Event

We are delighted to announce that the booking for the 2019 Scotland's Community Heritage Conference is open!

Now in its ninth year, the conference offers an opportunity for community heritage groups to gather, share experiences, celebrate their achievements, learn from each other and discuss, debate, and plan for the future. We will again be hosting breakout training workshops aimed at helping you develop and deliver your heritage project, and the very popular one-minute mayhem will return!

Please join us for a packed day of talks, workshops and displays. Hot rolls will be available from 8.30am.

Please note: Booking is essential and parking at the venue and in the immediate area is fairly restricted.

There are regular public transport links to Dunkeld & Birnam, but if your circumstances mean that you require to bring a vehicle, then please consider car-sharing with fellow conference attendees if this can be arranged.

We are unable to provide childcare however we welcome delegates who may wish to bring their children. We will have a quiet space facility for participants who are breastfeeding.

For further information and more details on the event programme please visit Archaeology Scotland, or please contact chcscot@gmail.com. If you consider any accessibility issues then please visit Birnam Arts.

Would you like to display an A1 Poster, showcasing your heritage group? We can provide guidelines, templates, examples of posters, and we will pay to have it professionally printed.

You will receive your poster at the end of the conference which you can use in any of your own community group events. The poster should be bold, informative, include contact details/website, but does need to relate to the conference theme: Making Places, Connecting People.

Please contact us to discuss possibilities a.wilson@scottisharchives.org.uk .

The posters will be displayed throughout the venue with details of the heritage group highlighted in the conference programme.
