Event description

Description

Fothergill Training & Consulting Ltd in partnership with the Scottish Government and the consultation bodies - SEPA, SNH, HES - have teamed up to deliver an annual Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Conference for the practitioner community in Scotland (EIA co-ordinators, LA’s, Developers, Academics, etc).

On the 24th May 2018, the conference will celebrate the first year of Scotland’s new EIA regime (derived from the 2017 Regulations) and explore how Scottish practice is working to deliver more effective assessment as a result.

The conference will involve up to 120 delegates freely attending and debating Scottish EIA practice, with speakers drawn from consultancy, Local Authorities, Government and the Consultation bodies, plus a leading lawyer. This year’s conference will feature breakout workshops to enable more focussed discussion and learning on both key steps in the EIA process (e.g. improving LA approaches to effective EIA) and the assessment of key topics (Health and Cultural Heritage).

This conference has been made possible by the kind sponsorship of:

ARUP, LUC, WSP and RAMBOLL
