About this event

As part of Scotland’s Innovation Week, the Royal Society of Edinburgh will reflect on the legacy and contribution of our Fellows to Scottish Innovation and explore the past, present, and future of Scotland’s innovators and their impact on the economy.

The RSE’s history is intertwined with the story of Scotland, and its remarkable ability to lead the world in the discovery and application of science. From the Enlightenment to today, we will tell the tale of the RSE and how we enable a future where Scotland’s innovation can thrive. We look forward to hosting a dynamic session exploring how Scotland can unlock its full innovation potential. We’ll look at the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s present contributions, including our trail-blazing Enterprise Fellowship Scheme and the work of our Economy and Enterprise Committee in shaping public policies that enable our innovative sectors to thrive.

This will set the stage for a forward-looking discussion on how the RSE can support the growth of Scotland’s innovation capacity in the years ahead. As Scotland’s National Academy, we want to hear from the people we represent on how we can help shape the future of Scotland.

Featuring voices from across our Fellowship and beyond, this session invites bold thinking on the structures, support, and strategies needed to drive inclusive and sustainable innovation across the country.
