Event description
Join us to network and browse the winning entries of the 2019 Alliance Photo Competition: Sustainable Development through the Lens of Gender

About this Event

The 2019 Alliance Photo Competition was our best yet, with almost 100 entries from over 60 organisations and individuals involved in international development in Scotland.

This year we invited entries that addressed the theme ‘Sustainable development through the lens of gender’.

To celebrate the powerful, high-quality images from around the globe that we received this year, we are pleased to announce that the top entries will be showcased for one night only at the City Art Centre in Edinburgh.

This evening exhibition and networking event will give you a unique opportunity to celebrate our members' work in the context of gender and development, while also providing the chance to find out about upcoming events and opportunities from the Alliance, and network in a relaxed setting with representatives from across Scotland’s diverse international development community.

The event will feature a short opening speech from experienced humanitarian professional, Rob MacGillivray, attending in his capacity as Deputy Chair of Scotland's Humanitarian Emergency Fund.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided, thanks to support from INTL FCStone Ltd.

The evening will commence after a session on foreign exchange cost savings and efficiencies from INTL FCStone. More information on this can be found on our website.
