Event description

Description

Scotland’s new Health and Social Care Standards look and feel very different from the old National Care Standards. Rather than listing provider inputs for different types of services, they set out what human rights and wellbeing look like for an individual experiencing any kind of health or social care. This includes children and young people, with the new Standards reflecting the GIRFEC wellbeing indicators.

At this briefing session, Henry Mathias from the Care Inspectorate, who led the development of the new Standards, will discuss the new Standards and what they will mean for children and young people and for the services they experience.
