Alan Stevenson, Digital Projects Manager, Volunteer Scotland
Alan started work with Volunteer Scotland in December 2013 and was responsible for implementing the rebrand and new website. As in many small organisations his remit now includes Research, Marketing and IT. Over time Alan has championed the use of data to drive decision-making; leading to a relationship with The Datalab and MBN through Datalab Quickstart projects and MSc data science summer placements in each of the last two years. With colleagues in SCVO, Alan and team created an improved website where volunteers can search for opportunities anywhere in Scotland https://search.volunteerscotland.net. The new site provides more data points than ever and more importantly supports the organisation’s test and learn approach.
