Event description

Description

Learn all about Scotland's wild amphibians and reptiles; how to find them, how to identify and record them, what they need and the threats they face. We will practice identification in the classroom and, subject to weather conditions, visit a site outdoors. This is an introductory course for anyone beginning to learn about amphibians and reptiles.

Pete Minting is a conservation biologist who has worked for several wildlife charities in the UK. At present he is Great Crested Newt Detectives Project Officer with the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC) Trust in Scotland.

This short course is run in partnership with the Field Studies Council.
