Who is eligible for the discounted tickets?

Accepted Answer

Anyone who is involved with a community organisation and/or community led tourism enterprise.  When registering, you will be asked for details of the organisation and your role/position.  Please complete this and also the additional question asking you to confirm your involvement.

What accommodation  support is available

Accepted Answer

We have bursary rooms at the Cairndale for a discount - you pay £25 single/£35 twin or double - on 29 Feb.   We will put you in touch with the hotel on a first come first served basis. Rooms are limited and once all are booked we may have some bursary remaining to book elsewhere (receipt required).

Question 3

Is there any support for travel and accommodation costs?

Yes we have secured a grant from the Scottish Community Alliance which will help cover travel and accommodation costs for representatives of community organisations.

Question 4

Can I also book a room at the hotel for the 28th Feb and/or the 1st March?

Accepted Answer

Yes - do let us know when you book your place and we will put you in touch with the hotel.  Unfortunately the bursary is only available for the 29th and linked to taking part in the Learning Exchange day.  There are other options in the local area too.

Question 5

How easy is it to attend using public transport?

Accepted Answer

We have deliberately chosen the location and venue to be close to a train station - and also buses.  The timing of the main event is linked to the train timetable and we will ensure the learning exchanges on day 2 similarly link to the train times.

Question 6

Is it one travel bursary per person?

Accepted Answer

Yes but if you opt to car share it would be good to limit the number of bursaries claimed so we can support more people to attend.

Question 7

I would like to make a block booking - how do I do this?

Accepted Answer

Eventbrite has been set up for individual booking so we can readily collate/manage discount and bursary information.  However if you would like to make a block booking for your organisation please contact admin@scoto.co.uk. As numbers are limited by venue capacity 3 max per organisation.

Is there another option to book if I can't use/access Eventbrite?

Yes we can do a manual booking and with an invoice if necessary.  Please contact us on admin@scoto.co.uk to arrange this.

Question 9

What support is available for travel ?

Accepted Answer

We are providing bursaries to help with travel costs based on where you are located/travelling from. There are four levels. D&G/South Ayrshire £15; Central Belt £25; North of Central Belt £40; Islands £100.  The bursaries are limited so early booking is recommended.  We also encourage car share.
