Overview

Free-thinking stand-up comedy with Scott Capurro, Dane Frisby, Alan Francis, Lewis Schaffer and Dominic Frisby

A night of free-thinking standup comedy with comedians who don't self-censor.

Scott Capurro

If someone tells Scott to avoid a subject, he goes straight to it. We bloody love him.

"He's evil and should be forced to leave the country" - Daily Mirror. "Vaingloriously poisonous" - Scotsman. Here’s a clip of Scott from the London club.

Alan Francis

After winning Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny? at the Edinburgh Festival, Alan became a regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits and has performed stand-up on TV a number of times. He has appeared on TV in Psychoville and Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge and has been in Knowing Me Knowing Yule, Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression, Ancona and Co, Alas Smith and Jones, The BBC Stand Up Show, the Alan Davies Show and Alexei Sayle’s Stuff.

Dane Frisby

Having cut his teeth on the Estonian comedy scene during a visit to the Baltic states, and subsequently gigged across Europe and with some of Ireland’s premier comics, Irish comedian Dane Frisby is a rising talent.

Lewis Schaffer

Lewis is the darling of the demised satirical news show Headliners. He’s a top New York comedian who settled in the UK. He is particularly loved by women of a certain age - charming, unpredictable, spontaneously surreal and utterly maverick. Here’s a clip of Lewis at the Scottish Hate Crime gig.

Dominic Frisby

Dominic is a libertarian version of Billy Bragg (with a sense of humour). Dominic’s recent video ‘We’re All far Right Now, was retweeted by Elon Musk and got 60 million views. Dominic will perform new songs and some old favourites.

Why Comedy Unleashed?

Andrew Doyle:

“Andy Shaw and I set up Comedy Unleashed because we feel that the time is right for a new alternative comedy movement. We book comics from all political backgrounds, or those who have no interest in politics at all. Our key criteria is that they are talented and funny. ”
