Description

The SCF provides a national discussion forum for researchers studying the cardiovascular system. We particularly welcome submission from PhD students and post-doctoral fellows and presentations of studies in progress or those that have been previously presented at other meetings. All those with an interest in cardiac and vascular research - both clinical and basic science - are cordially invited to this one day meeting.

The keynote speaker will be Professor Damien Bailey who is currently a Royal Society Wolfson Research Fellow,
Professor of Physiology and Biochemistry (University of South Wales, UK) and Head of the Neurovascular Research Laboratory. His talk is titled - Life without oxygen! cerebrovascular modulation of blood flow to the oxygen-starved brain

Rodger Wadsworth Prize: Final year PhD student presentations (£300 prize)

3 minute PhD pitches - first and second year students only (£100 prize)

Oral communications and a poster session (£150 prize)

Prizes are available in each category (£75 prize)




Highland Council are hosting a civic buffet dinner for all delegates for the meeting on Friday 1st February from 19:00. This dinner is provided free of charge and we hope that many of you will be able to make it for an enjoyable evening. Please confirm attendance during registration and include and dietary requirements.
