San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The Scottish Cardiovascular Forum (SCF) was launched in October 1997, with the aim of fostering integration, encouraging collaboration and assisting in the dissemination of information among basic science and clinical cardiovascular researchers in Scotland. The 2017 SCF Annual Meeting is being hosted by the University of Glasgow in the Sir Charles Wilson Building on Saturday 4th February and invitation to attend is extended to scientists and clinicians (including students and trainees) with an interest in cardiovascular research.
The format of the meetings is informal and tends to be focused on the presentation of novel material from the research groups across Scotland and Northern Ireland, with particular focus on supporting early career researchers, including intercalating medical students, postgraduate research students and postdoctoral fellows who are encouraged to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the meeting. Prizes will be awarded for the best poster and oral communications from young/early career investigators. The keynote speakers will be Professor Rhian Touyz and Professor Tomasz Guzik.
