About this event
Our annual general meeting will be taking place on Zoom on Saturday 21st November 2020. Meeting starts at 10, but participants are required to check-in at 9.30.
All our members and supporters are welcome to attend.
We are delighted to welcome Alexander Kmentt, ambassador (sabbatical) and Senior Research Fellow at Kings College, London, to speak at our AGM. Alexander is the former Permanent Representative of Austria to the Political and Security Committee of the European Union, and has worked extensively on disarmament and non-proliferation issues.
Alexander's work brought us the first global commitment to abolish nuclear weapons - the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons - through the organisation of the Vienna Conference on the Humanitarian Impact of Nuclear Weapons in December 2014, and the creation of the Austrian Pledge (now the Humanitarian Pledge) which won the support of 137 States, and catalysed the writing of the Treaty.
