Scottish Compliance Plan Presentation

Join us for an essential CPD session with Frank Doherty, Standards Compliance and Digital Strategy Team Leader within the Scottish Government’s Building Standards Division.

With nearly 30 years’ experience across local authority building standards and national policy delivery, Frank will provide an authoritative insight into the Scottish Government’s new Compliance Plan Approach, developed in response to recent high-profile building failures.

This session will explore how the strengthened approach aims to improve compliance with Scottish building standards and regulations, the timetable for implementation, and the roles and responsibilities of those involved across the construction sector. Emphasis will be placed on the need for competence, evidence, and collaboration between government and industry.

Attendees can expect a clear overview of what is changing, what it means in practice for construction professionals, and how to prepare for the new requirements. The session will conclude with a Q&A, providing the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the policy direction.
