What's the format for the evening?

It's very much a casual meet and mingle. Grab a drink from the bar and make your way through to the back of the bar to join us. Every month we have a guest speaker for about 20 mins, followed by a zany networking activity. After that, it's time for you to connect with your community!

You mentioned a slideshow - how do I submit?

The link for submitting your work is in your ticket email. You can submit up to FIVE images or ONE 90 sec showreel. The purpose of the slideshow is a talking point for you to refer to - so make sure we can tell who the images/content is from. Bear in mind, audio won't be played on the screen.

I've got some ideas for future events, can I share them?

Definitely! We'll be looking for some feedback and ideas on the night, so come armed with every bit of enthusiasm and creative ideas you have. But be prepared to help execute on those ideas too! That's where the community part thrives!

Welcome to the Scottish Creative Network. This is the place to be to connect with fellow creatives, share your work, and find new friends. This is your chance to expand your network and catch up with every kind of creative. We're here at The Social Hub once a month to bring the creative community together to have some fun, get to know each other and most importantly to network!

Who's this for?

Every kind of creative individual, agency, or community group. We're here to bring as wide a creative community together, to share their stories, find new connections and collaborations, and to have a bit of fun along the way.

This is not your regular networking event. It's not stuffy, not serious, and not salesy.

Even if you're not directly involved in creating, but you're looking for a creative to work with for a project, or for your business - come along.

We welcome all from beginners, students, semi-pro, to working professionals with 1 day or 25 years experience - in whatever creative field that happens to be. Photo/Video/Film/Motion/Design/Graphics/Web/Marketing/Craft/Art/Theatre.. the list is endless, and you are all welcome, whatever you create.We welcome all and anyone with a creative passion. It doesn't matter what you do or how you do it, if creativity is your passion - come and join in!

We will have a looping slideshow running in the latter part of the evening, and you can submit a few examples of your work - images, showreels, examples of your design projects etc. Check out the FAQ for details on how to submit your content.Please note: the slideshow is played after the guest speaker and networking activity is complete, ie during the social/mingling part of the evening.

Check your ticket confirmation email for the link where you can upload your submissions to Dropbox. Content is only kept for the slideshow and deleted afterwards.Please also note, you will be sent an email reminder to share your work prior to the event.

We'll give a few of you a couple of minutes to share with the room a bit about you, and your creative practice, why you have come to SCN - so who you're looking to connect with - or even share some info on an upcoming project or particular piece of work you're looking to show off! This is open to all volunteers, but we only have a few minutes each, so if you want to participate, get your name to the hosts as soon as you arrive!
