Scottish Elections: Public Constituency Hustings – Skye, Lochaber & Badenoc...
Date and time
Description
Taking place less than a month before the Scottish Elections in May, this Skye, Lochaber & Badenoch Constituency Hustings will give local businesses and the wider public an opportunity to quiz candidates on the issues that concern them most.
The focus will be on strengthening local economies and communities – the subject of our FSB manifesto, which can be downloaded from this site: ibacksmallbusiness.scot/.
These are the sorts of questions that we hope people will ask:
What are the candidates’ views on mobile and broadband connectivity? What can be done to help the smaller communities in this constituency thrive?; What can be done to address the challenge of youth employment and to bridge the gap between schools and colleges and the world of work? When will the business rates system be reviewed? How can we encourage more people to set up in business for themselves, and what more can public bodies do to support them?
We want to get as wide a range of questions about strengthening local economies and communities as possible, so if you have a question that you would like to ask, please email it in advance to david.richardson@fsb.org.uk.
This event is free of charge to attend and tea and coffee will be available from 7pm.
