Description

The Scottish Fair Trade Campaigner Conference will be held on Saturday 2nd September 2017 (10:30 - 13:00) at The Station Hotel, Perth.

The conference will feature various keynote speakers who will cover a range of different topics addressing the theme of this years conference 'Fair Trade in Context: Challenges and Opportunities'

Speakers confirmed so far:

Christopher Stange, Secretariat for All Party Group on Fairtrade in the Northern Irish Assembly - Northern Ireland's Jouney to become a Fair Trade Region

Sophie Hardefeldt, Trade Justice Movement - The Implications of Brexit for the UK's trade with the Global South

Joanna Keating, Head of International Development at the Scottish Government - Scottish Government's International Development Strategy

The conference will be followed by the Scottish Fair Trade Forum AGM and lunch starting at 13:00. All are welcome to attend the AGM but only SFTF members can vote.

Following this, at 14:00, the Perth and Kinross Fair Trade Steering Group have organised a short Fair Trade walk around Perth city centre and a session delivered by local school pupils - it would be great if attendees were able to stay for this part of the day.
