Scottish Government Dementia Recovery & Transition Plan Discussion:Projects
Event Information
About this Event
Scottish Government are consulting on the Dementia Recovery and Transition Plan to be launched early in the New Year. They want to hear from projects and organisations who support people with dementia and unpaid carers about the impact of the pandemic, about what has been done to keep support going and what needs to happen as we move forward.
The session will be led by Scottish Government staff with the Life Changes Trust providing a support role.
A copy of the Dementia Recovery and Transition Plan discussion paper will be included with the joining notes. These will be sent out on Fri 11th December. If you would like a copy earlier than this, please email: fiona.wynde@lifechangestrust.org.uk

- Q3: The paper recognises that the majority of people with dementia live at home. What critical actions can we include that will make a positive impact to people’s quality of life at home during the next year?
- Q4: What can we do in the short term to mitigate the impact of reduced access to timely diagnosis and to post-diagnostic support during the pandemic?
- Q5: What equalities issues have been highlighted by the pandemic and what can we do in response?
- Q6: How well do the commitments in the paper support family carers to be equal partners in care? How can this be improved?
- Q7: We want to reflect the extra pressure COVID has placed on the dementia workforce. How can we best reflect this and what should we do differently over the next year?
