FREE GCVS Essentials Event - Things you need to know to grow
Taking place in the run-up to International Human Rights Day and on the first anniversary of the launch of Scotland's National Action Plan for Human Rights, this event is part of a week-long series of events and activities around Scotland. The session will include:
- An introduction to Scotland's National Action Plan for Human Rights - why it was developed, what is aims to do and what progress has been made in its first year.
- An introduction to a human rights based approach in the voluntary sector.
- A discussion of how to take human rights issues forward

The Albany Learning & Conference Centre
GCVS (Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector) is the main development agency and advocate for voluntary and community organisations in Glasgow and a key partner in Glasgow’s Third Sector Interface.
GCVS owns and operates the Albany Learning and Conference Centre. Since opening in 2008, GCVS has delivered it's training and customised learning by Third Sector experts.
The Albany Centre is a welcoming venue for meetings, events and conferences. Our rooms are all light, airy and fully equipped and can be arranged to meet your needs. And our professional, welcoming staff will be available before your event and on the day to make sure that everything goes perfectly!
