The Scottish National Action Plan for Responsible Business (SNAP-RB) is a plan for responsible business in Scotland. It is created by business, with government, for society. Its mission is 'to improve the lives of families affected by poverty through the collaborative actions of employers in Scotland.'
Over a dozen large businesses and organisations, led by Royal Bank of Scotland, have come together to work collaboratively to effect positive social, environmental and economic change at a national level that holds local relevance.
The vision of this group of business leaders, government representative and leading third sector organisations is bold and transformational - but they cannot accomplish it alone.
On 8th December these businesses are launching their vision and asking their customers, clients and supply chains, as well as the communities where they operate, to join them in making this vision a reality.
Together, we can make Scotland fairer, more sustainable, and stronger economically through ingraining responsible business practices across all sizes and sectors and focusing our collective energy on issues to have greater impact.
The event will feature a panel discussion on SNAP-RB with Jane Wood, Managing Director of BITC Scotland chairing and featuring
Malcolm Buchanan, Chair of the Royal Bank of Scotland's board
Keith Brown MSP, Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Jobs and Fair Work
Roisin Currie, People Director at Greggs
This will be follwed by a networking session and a chance to find out how you can get involved and support this exciting initiative in your community.
