Event description
By kind permission of the Scottish Parliament’s Corporate Body, you are invited to attend the Scottish Older People's Assembly.

About this Event

The Scottish Older People's Assembly exists to give a strong voice to older people about their experience of life in Scotland, their challenges and concerns, and to celebrate the positive contribution that older people make to society.

This will be the 10th Assembly arranged by SOPA, coinciding with the 20th Anniversary of the Scottish Parliament and following International Day of Older Persons on 1st October.

The Assembly will have an interesting programme of speakers and workshops, including Christina McKelvie MSP Minister for Older People and Equalities who will deliver the key note speech. The Debating Chamber session will be chaired by Christine Grahame MSP, Deputy Presiding Officer.

Invitations are open to all, however we encourage older people to attend as we want the voices of older people to be at the centre of the event.

Please complete the booking form and identify two of the following workshops as your first and second choice. For the full programme visit www.scotopa.org.uk/assemblies.asp
