Chair: Neil Findlay MSP.

Belonging: The Truth Behind the Headlines is an award winning investigative journalism feature documentary that looks again at the events around 3 industrial disputes, 3 governments and over 3 decades.

Secret government plans, behind closed door dealings and connections that remained lost or secret are revealed in this investigative documentary. A remarkable true story covering the decades since Rupert Murdoch arrived in Britain from those who bore witness. Through research and heart rendering personal stories from those at the centre of these disputes we see - it's not what’s in a newspaper that counts. It’s what’s not in a newspaper that counts.

Film Screening starts at 18.15. Screening followed by a Q&A panel: Stevie Deans, Vice Convenor at the centre of the Grangemouth dispute and Falkirk Labour Party controversy, Pat Rafferty, Unite's Scottish Secretary and leader of the Grangemouth dispute (who are central to the film) and Mark Lyon, author of The Battle of Grangemouth - The Worker’s Story, Ailís Deans daughter of Stevie Deans, Director / Producer Morag Livingstone. Chair: Neil Findlay MSP.
