Event description

Description

'Where does the case for an Independent socialist Scotland go now?'

The 'Scottish Socialist Voice' is hosting another of our successful open Forum discussions, this time bringing the pro-Independence left in Scotland together to discuss the lessons of the 2017 General Election campaign and its implications for Scottish politics.

Our Forum takes place in the Glasgow offices of Unison on Saturday 24th June. We are delighted to announce a stellar line up of guest speakers who will include:

  • The former Scottish Government Health secretary Alex Neil MSP from the SNP
  • Arguing for federalism, Scottish Labour's Deputy Leader Alex Rowley MSP
  • The distinguished Scottish economist Margaret Cuthbert
  • EIS General Secretary Larry Flanagan
  • Scottish Socialist Party national spokesman Colin Fox

The event will consider the outcome of the 2017 General election and where it leaves the independence movement. The Forum promises to be both an exciting and stimulating event.

The 'Scottish Socialist Voice' is the only regularly published socialist newspaper edited, published and printed in Scotland.
