Scottish Tropical Ecology & Biology Student Meeting

The Tropical Ecology & Conservation (TEAC) Group at the University of Stirling is happy to hosting again the Scottish Tropical Ecology and Biology (STEB) student meeting on Saturday 8th April, 2017. Tropical ecologists and biologists, from all over Scotland are invited to share their research and meet people working in the field, open to all students and non-students.
Interactive plenaries will be given by:
- Professor David Burslem - University of Aberdeen
- Dr. Lindsay F. Banin - CEH Edinburgh
Attendance is free with a donation (reccommended £5) to cover refreshments and lunch.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the day and there will be a mixer session at the Union Bar, University of Stirling, from 5pm, for researchers to meet and discuss the world of tropical research.
Attendees will have the opportunity to present their work in either a 5 minute power presentation or a 15 minute research presentation.
Power Presentations: your slides will change automatically every 30 seconds and all you have to do is talk without exceeding your 5 minutes, it is recommended that your slides have minimal words. There will be 3 minutes for questions.
Research Presentation: A 12 minute presentation followed by 3 minutes for questions.

Please submit an abstract for a 5 minute power presentation or a 15 minute research presentation, if you are not accepted for a 15 miunte research presentation you will be asked to do a 5 minute power presentation. Abstracts should be 300 words maximum, and emailed to email@example.com by Friday 17th March.
