CPRE Shropshire, is the county branch of the national charity, CPRE, the countryside charity.

We are an independent charity supported by the resources and guidance of CPRE's national office in London.

Our aim is to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of Shropshire's landscape by encouraging environmentally sustainable use of land and other resources in the county's towns and countryside.

We campaign for our beautiful landscape and work to protect, promote and enhance our towns and countryside.

This is the second photography awards we have run in recent years with "My Shropshire" taking place in 2019.

The Talk

Keith Ashford and Liz Turner are Shrewsbury-based artists who work together on site on specific public art projects.

For this talk they will present Scour, their extensive heritage art project based around a unique needle scouring mill in Redditch, Worcs.

They will discuss their process of exploring a landscape to make artworks with a genuinely strong sense of place; reflecting man’s shaping of the land over time and the meanings it holds for people who live there now.
