    Provides an awareness of domestic abuse for those working with children, young people and families

    About this event

    This is the first workshop in the domestic abuse training pathway and forms part 1 of the SCP Level 1 Domestic Abuse Awareness training. This must be completed before you can access any of the other workshops in the programme, unless you have completed this previously.

    This training will be facilitated by Women's Aid North East Lincolnshire. The training will be held online and joining instructions will be available once you have booked your place.

    Learning Outcomes for the session are as follows:

    By the end of the session, learners will have:

    • An understanding of the concept of domestic abuse

    • A greater awareness of the effects of domestic abuse on the victim

    • Explored reasons why people stay in and/or return to violent relationships

    • An understanding of what victims and survivors want

    • Gained an understanding of who to speak to about domestic abuse and what you can do about it.
